Posters in Parliament
Posters in Parliament is an annual poster presentation event held at Westminster. The event gives undergraduate students from across the UK the opportunity to present their research to MPs. The latest event took place in 2020 and the RSE team took Melissa Moodie from Engineering and Chris Haswell from Sport to present and represent NCUC. This was the first time one of our NCUC students, Chris Haswell, was shortlisted and went into the final 3- a huge achievement! Chris showcased his research ‘The Effects Of Radial Shockwave Therapy on Chronic Calf Muscle Strain Injuries In Runners’ while Melissa’s presented her research entitled ‘New Product Introduction into Shotpeen’ (in conjunction with Rolls Royce) The students had an opportunity to discuss their research with numerous MPS including Newcastle’s own MP Chi Onwurah and Gateshead’s MP Liz Twist. Any students who are interested in participating in Posters in Parliament get in touch with the RSE Team who will be delighted to support you in your application.
