I have been part of the team at NCUC School of Education since 2006. I work on specialist teacher education programmes for literacy and ESOL teacher education and run both the BA and Masters level Education and Professional Development part-time courses. I am also involved in curriculum development across our programmes.
Whilst studying for my MA in Education, I began to take an active role in promoting research and scholarly activity across college, indeed, I believe passionately in encouraging research by our sector for our sector. To further this, I am currently undertaking a part time PhD in Education at the University of Lancaster.
My research interests include literacies and visual literacies, becoming a teacher in further education and student engagement in college-based higher education. My biggest achievement to date in my studies was a conference presentation in 2019: Lessons from a developmental evaluation: perceptions of teaching practice feedback from further education initial teacher education.
