Research and Student Engagement Coordinator
Job Role:
To support and report on the enhancement of research, scholarship and student engagement activities in HE across Newcastle College University Centre (NCUC) and to coordinate a variety of projects. To oversee the Student Fellowships and the Student Representatives and lead on our ExPO events and the 360 Inclusivity project.
Rachael joined the team in 2019 as a Research Assistant and has since then worked her way up to being the coordinator. Since joining the team Rachael has overhauled the Student Rep system and has increased the student engagement within the fellowship program and kept the Rep system at 100%. She has been the lead on our TEDx Newcastle College, and ExPO22 and works closely with our Stay and Succeed project with the OFS.
Rachael currently 6 years into her PhD ‘Reunion as a Popular Music Phenomenon’ (2023 completion) plays both Saxophone and Piano, is a huge fan of live music.
