The Research, Scholarship and Student Engagement Team at Newcastle College University Centre can now proudly call themselves Research Team of the Year after collecting the award as part of this year’s Educate North Awards.
The team have worked extremely hard to pioneer an innovative research environment at Newcastle College University Centre, benefitting not only our college, but the wider College Based Higher Education (CBHE) community.
The team’s vision for research contributed largely to Newcastle College being the first FE institution in the UK to be awarded Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) in 2016. Since then, the team have driven this concept forward to achieve a culture of collaborative research in the form of colleague and student partnerships and research projects that improve our student experience. Students can also apply for over 100 different Student Fellowship roles, providing them with the opportunity to engage in research or activities that enhance their own experience here at Newcastle College University Centre.
Well done to every member of the Research, Scholarship and Student Engagement Team and all at Newcastle College University Centre who work hard to provide this experience for our students.
