Twilight Counselling

Welcome to Twilight, NCG’s online counselling service. Recognising that you need, or could benefit from additional support is very brave, and the first [big] step to improving your mental health and wellbeing.

To refer yourself to the Twilight, online, counselling service, you must be an HE student – Levels 4-7.

Complete THIS FORM and Chrissy will be in touch shortly after.

The project aims to improve the mental health literacy of a target group of HE students at Newcastle, Kidderminster, Carlisle, and Southwark colleges. There are three strands to the project, delivered in conjunction, and collaboration with existing services within the Colleges.

The Twilight Counselling Service

Twilight provides a listening ear, where you can unload and offload, review and reflect on thoughts and feelings, as well as work through more complex issues or situations. Counselling via Twilight is free, and available to all HE students [Levels 4-7] studying at Newcastle, Kidderminster, Carlisle, and Southwark colleges.

Counselling is provided by current, level 5 & 6 counselling students as part of their 100-hour professional placement. Sessions take place Monday – Thursday between 5pm-8pm. Each session is up to 1 hour, and takes place online, via Teams.

To fully engage with sessions, you must have:

  • a reliable internet connection.
  • a device that supports MS Teams video calls.
  • a safe, private location from which to join calls.

There are no limits to the number of sessions you can have with Twilight – unlike other services. The number of sessions completed will be decided by you, and your student counsellor.
