Newcastle College University Centre has secured lucrative funding from the Office for Students’ “No Place Like Home” fund. The fund awards £5.6 million to colleges and universities across England to boost opportunities for graduates who seek to work close to home.
Through this scheme Newcastle College University Centre will develop curriculum content to ensure North East graduates can access higher level employment in their own locality. To do this, 18 of our Level 6 students in the fields of engineering and digital technology will be awarded internships with local leaders in their areas. These interns will then help develop collaborative networks between the college and regional employers, whilst also gaining valuable work experience.
