I work within the School of Education, teaching on the level 5 Foundation Degree in Education and Training. I also work on specialist English language teacher training programmes as well as being Lead IQA for assessor and verifier courses.

I have been working at Newcastle College in my current role since 2013 on HE and FE programmes. Prior to this I worked at a private training provider delivering on English language specialist teacher training courses at levels 5 and 7. I am qualified up to masters level in education with a specialism in English language teaching. I became an FHEA in 2018.

My main interest at the moment is the role that technology plays in teaching and learning and have taken part in number of CPD events in this area. It is my intention to carry out small-scale research on experiences of practitioners and students in light of impact of Covid-19 on higher education. In terms of my biggest achievement in teaching, that would probably be supporting one of my level 5 students achieve their Foundation Degree in very challenging personal and professional circumstances during the Covid-19 period.
